Water Cooled Brine Screw Chillers

SINGLE STAGE DESIGN using ultra efficient compact screw technology (CST) guarantees unmatched performance and reliability over long period of time, whilst achieving suction super heat temperatures of as low as minus 55 degree Celsius. These Brine chillers are compact in design and are vibration free with sound levels lower than 80 db.

EXCLUSIVELY DEVELOPED SCREW COMPRESSOR WITH IN-BUILT MOTOR for low temperature applications. These compressors have a long life bearing structure and a patented motor cooling design. These compressors are maintenance free and require no oil seal change that is so prevalent in compressors based on open screw technology.

HIGH EFFICIENCY 3 STAGE EXTERNAL OIL SEPRATOR with coalescing filter elements. These oils are separators constructed according to current ASME codes, and furnished with access manway, sight glasses for oil level inspection, electrical heating element, dual relief valves, and oil drain valves.

SHELL & TUBE EVAPORATOR is built with copper tubes of 19 SWG that enables them to withstand hard water. The copper tubes contain Flamingo patented star turbulator inserts that provide turbulence to the refrigerant traveling inside the copper tubes. As a result of this turbulence these Shell & Tube evaporators are extremely efficient. The shell is manufactured from high-grade steel. The evaporator is designed as per ASME Section VIII Div.1.

SHELL & TUBE CONDENSER built for equatorial conditions with condensing temperatures of 45 degree Celsius considered as the basis of design. Efficient condensing of the refrigerant results in power savings and lower maintenance costs due to lesser workload on the compressor motor, rotor and bearings. The condenser shell is manufactured from high-grade steel. The finned copper tubes are of 16 SWG and are sized for optimum refrigerant and water velocities. The condensers are fitted with a safety relief and purge valve. The condenser is designed as per ASME Section VIII Div.1.

ECONOMIZER is provided as standard in all Flamingo CST Brine chillers. The economizer/sub-cooler enhances the overall capacity of the Brine chillers by 10%, and reduces the power consumption, thereby increasing the overall Coefficient of Performance (COP) of CST Series Brine chillers compared to chillers without economizer.

AIR COOLED TYPE OIL COOLER is provided as a standard feature of the Brine chillers to keep the oils temperature of the compressor within safe limits.

LIQUID INJECTION is a standard feature in Brine Chillers and is used to cool the compressor motor winding. As soon as the discharge temperature exceeds the normal range, an electric solenoid coil injects liquid refrigerant to keep the winding temperature within limits. This feature enhances the overall life of the compressor.

ELECTRONIC EXPANSION VALVE (Standard in models CST A & CWCR-09 to CST A & CWCR-25) allows for precise control of refrigerant flow through the evaporator. The expansion valve is very sensitive to load variations and adjusts the flow of refrigerant with short response times to increase overall system efficiency.

CONTROL PANEL with IP-65 protection is provided as standard part of the Brine Chillers equipment. All control and electrical cables are provided with thermally printed ferrule clearly indicating connection terminals. The control panels are powder coated and mounted within the Brine chillers framework. In case of Magnum controller, the microprocessor section and electrical section are housed in separate sections of the control panel. For ease of installation and servicing, all control and electrical wires are mounted on cable trays running through the length of the Brine chillers on either side and is a standard part of the Brine chillers equipment

ADVANCED MAGNUM STEP-LESS CAPACITY CONTROLER (Standard in models CST A & CWCR-09 to CST A & CWCR-25) makes Flamingo CST Brine chillers highly efficient in part load conditions (25%~100%). Besides the Magnum controller allows direct communication through RS-485 to MODBUS and can be easily integrated to BMS systems (Building Management Systems). (Read More on Magnum controller)

MAGNA AUTOMATIC STEPPED CAPACITY CONTROLER (Standard in Models CST A & CWCR-01 to A & CWCR-08) is a basic PLC controller specifically developed in-house for use in Flamingo family Brine chillers. The controller allows numerous set point ranges that can be pre configured to particular set of values that may be considered within the safe operating range. In case of any breach in any of the set point value the controller trips the Brine chillers and informs the user about the particular malfunction on the LCD display. Besides, the controller automatically adjusts the capacity in a stepped format making them ideal variable load industrial applications.

OPTIONAL REMOTE MONITORING guarantees trouble free operation along with the added advantage of leaving maintenance issues to the experts themselves. Our control centre would be routinely receiving real time information from the microprocessor regarding the Brine chillers health and this information will be used to perform preventive maintenance, if required. The magnum controller provides PC connectivity and remote monitoring with or without BMS through dedicated telephone phone line and optional gateway and modem. This option is only valid in CST Brine chillers range with Magnum controller
