Water Cooled HVAC Scroll Chillers

TWIN INDEPENDENT CIRCUIT DESIGN guarantees greater reliability. In case of part load conditions any one of the two circuits would automatically shut down thereby lowering running costs. In the event of breakdown in any one of the circuits, the performance and functioning of the other circuit is not affected. Breakdowns can be repaired without switching off the chiller. For capacities greater than 40 TR (140 kW) multiple scroll compressors can be added proportionately in series to each circuit.

EFFICIENT SCROLL COMPRESSORS of Danfoss (Denmark) are provided as standard in all Kuhler family scroll chillers. These compressors come with a high efficiency in built motor and hybrid-wrap scroll design that helps reduce energy costs in normal operating conditions and delivers high capacity and an optimized pressure ratio for refrigeration applications.

SHELL & TUBE EVAPORATOR is built with copper tubes of 19 SWG that enables them to withstand hard water. The copper tubes contain Flamingo patented star turbulator inserts that provide turbulence to the refrigerant traveling inside the copper tubes. As a result of turbulence the Direct Expansion type Shell & Tube evaporators are extremely efficient. The evaporator is of twin circuit design. The evaporator shell is manufactured from high-grade steel. The evaporator is designed as per ASME Section VIII Div.1.

HIGH PERFORMANCE SHELL & TUBE CONDENSER built for equatorial conditions with condensing temperatures of 45 degree Celsius considered as the basis of design. Efficient condensing of the refrigerant results in power savings and lower maintenance costs. The condenser shell is manufactured from high-grade steel. The finned copper tubes are of 16 SWG and are sized for optimum refrigerant and water velocities. The condensers are fitted with a safety relief and purge valve. The condenser is designed as per ASME Section VIII Div.1.

HIGH COP/EER as a result efficient condensing of refrigerant. These durable industrial chiller units are designed to meet the applicable requirements of ASHRAE/ANSI 15 Safety Code.

CONTROL PANEL with IP-65 protection is provided as standard part of the equipment. All control and electrical cables are provided with thermally printed ferrule clearly indicating connection terminals. The control panels are powder coated and mounted within the chiller framework. In case of Magnum controller, the microprocessor section and electrical section are housed in seprate sections of the control panel. For ease of installation and servicing, all control and electrical wires are mounted on cable trays running through the length of the chiller on either side and is a standard part of the chiller equipment

STANDARD MAGNA CONTROLER is a microprocessor based PLC controller specifically developed for use in Flamingo range of chillers. The controller allows programming numerous set points that can be pre configured to particular set of values that may be considered within the safe operating range. In case of any breach in any of the set point value the controller will trip the chiller and inform the user about the particular malfunction on the alpha numeric LCD display. If problems should arise, built-in diagnostics allow fast, simple troubleshooting. Besides, the controller automatically adjusts the capacity in a stepped format making them ideal for variable load process cooling applications.

OPTIONAL MAGNUM CONTROLLER allows direct communication through RS-485 to MODBUS and can be easily integrated to BMS systems (Building Management Systems). Besides the Magnum Controller (Read More on Magnum controller)

OPTIONAL REMOTE MONITORING guarantees trouble free operation along with the added advantage of leaving maintenance issues to the experts themselves. Our control centre would be routinely receiving real time information from the microprocessor regarding the chiller health and this information will be used to perform preventive maintenance, if required. The magnum controller provides PC connectivity and remote monitoring with or without BMS through dedicated telephone phone line and optional gateway and modem. This option is only valid in Kuhler range with Magnum controller.

OPTIONAL ELECTRONIC EXPANSION VALVE allows for precise control of refrigerant flow through the evaporator. The expansion valve is very sensitive to load variations and adjusts the flow of refrigerant with short response times to achieve power savings.This option is only valid in Aircon family range with Magnum controller.

OPTIONAL SS PUMP (standard in models Aircon A, B & CWCS 01 to A, B & CWCS 03) of Grundfos (Denmark) can be optionally provided along the chiller.

OPTIONAL SS TANK WITH AUTO TANK REFILL (standard in models Aircon A, B & CWCS 01 to A, B & CWCS 03) of sufficient capacity depending upon the Chiller model can be optionally provided along with the Flamingo Aircon range of chillers.

OPTIONAL HEAT PUMP increases the versatility of the AirCon Family chillers as it can double up as a Heat Pump just by sliding the reversing valve direction, eliminating the need to install boilers for central heating applications during winter seasons.

OPTIONAL HOT WATER PORT provides hot water for various utilities with in commercial establishments without any increase in the chiller power consumption. This option utilizes the waste discharge heat from the compressor to provide hot water at temperatures up to 60 degree Celsius that can be used for various utilities within a commercial building and eliminates the need to install boilers for heating water applications.

OPTIONAL DIRECT EXPANSION design can also be availed for direct coupling to indvidual or multiple air handling units (AHUs).
