SINGLE CIRCUIT DESIGN Flamingo
Aircon air -cooled process screw chillers are
available in cooling capacity up to 80 TR in a
single circuit design.Optional twin circuit available
on demand.
EFFICIENT TWIN ROTOR SCREW COMPRESSOR
that is semi-hermetic in construction, thereby
making it maintenance friendly. Due to geometrically
symmetrical moving parts, the compressors have
extremely low vibration and are tested in accordance
with AHRI/European Standards. These screw compressors
come with an in-built oil separation system and
an additional external oil separator can be added
depending upon the nature of industrial application.
HIGH COP/EER as a result efficient
condensing of refrigerant. These durable industrial
chiller units are designed to meet the applicable
requirements of ASHRAE/ANSI 15 Safety Code.
SHELL & TUBE EVAPORATOR
is built with copper tubes of 19 SWG that enables
themto withstand hard water. The copper tubes
contain Flamingo patented star turbulator inserts
that provide turbulence to the refrigerant traveling
inside the copper tubes. As a result of this turbulence
these Shell & Tube evaporators are extremely
efficient. The shell is manufactured from high-grade
steel. The evaporator is designed as per ASME
Section VIII Div.1.
ULTRA EFFICIENT AIR COOLED CONDENSER
built for equatorial conditions with condensing
temperatures of 60 degree Celsius considered as
the basis of design. Efficient condensing of the
refrigerant results in power savings and lower
maintenance costs. The fins are CNC manufactured
in special grade aluminum of 0.15 mm thickness
that are mechanically expanded around internally
grooved 0.5 mm thick copper tube, in a staggered
sine wave pattern
OPTIONAL HYFROPHOBIC COATED FINS
results in five times better corrosion resistance
than uncoated fins.
AXIAL FANS of 5-lobe, bird-wing
design of Wolter (Germany) are a standard feature
of Flamingo Aircon Air Cooled Screw Chillers.
Using Magnum
controller the number of fans switching ON
can be automaticaly controlled depending upon
the compressor discharge pressure. This feature
results in substantial power saving during night
shifts when the ambient temperatures are particularly
low.
ECONOMIZER FOR HIGHER EFFICIENCY
is provided as standard in all Aircon air cooled
Chillers. The economizer/sub-cooler enhances the
overall capacity of the chiller by 10%, and reduces
the power consumption, thereby increasing the
overall Coefficient of Performance(COP) compared
to chillers without economizer.
ENVIORNMENT FRIENDLY R-134A
reduces discharge pressure by over 40% resulting
in extremely efficient condensation thereby increasing
the COP compared to R-22 (Freon) or R-407C refrigerants.
Lowered discharge pressure also means lesser load
on the refrigerant piping and hence employs longer
life and lower maintenance costs.
AIR COOLED TYPE OIL COOLER
is provided as a standard feature to keep the
oil temperatures of the compressor within safe
limits.
LIQUID INJECTION is a standard
feature and is used to cool the compressor motor
winding. As soon as the discharge temperature
exceeds the normal range, an electric solenoid
coil injects liquid refrigerant to keep the winding
temperature within limits. This feature enhances
the life of the compressor.
ELECTRONIC EXPANSION VALVE (Standard
in Models Aircon AACRP7-08 to AACRP7-13) allows
for precise control of refrigerant flow through
the evaporator. The expansion valve is very sensitive
to load variations and adjusts the flow of refrigerant
with short response times to achieve power savings.This
option is only valid in family range with Magnum
controller.
HIGH COP/EER as a result of
using R-134a refrigerant and highly efficient
air-cooled condenser.
CONTROL PANEL with IP-65 protection
is provided as standard part of the equipment.
All control and electrical cables are provided
with thermally printed ferrule clearly indicating
connection terminals. The control panels are powder
coated and mounted within the chiller framework.
In case of Magnum controller, the microprocessor
section and electrical section are housed in seprate
sections of the control panel. For ease of installation
and servicing, all control and electrical wires
are mounted on cable trays running through the
length of the chiller on either side and is a
standard part of the chiller equipment
ADVANCED MAGNUM STEP-LESS CAPACITY CONTROLER
(Standard in Models Aircon AACRP7-01
to AACRP7-07) makes Flamingo chillers highly efficient
in part load conditions (25%~100%). Besides the
Magnum controller allows direct communication
through RS-485 to MODBUS and can be easily integrated
to BMS systems (Building Management Systems).

STANDARD MAGNA AUTOMATIC STEPPED CAPACITY
CONTROLER (Standard
in Models Aircon AACRP7-08 to AACRP7-13) is a
basic PLC controller specifically developed in-house
for use in Flamingo range of chillers. The controller
allows numerous set points that can be pre configured
to particular set of values that may be considered
within the safe operating range. In case of any
breach in any of the set point value the controller
will trip the chiller and inform the user about
the particular malfunction on the LCD display.
Besides, the controller automatically adjusts
the capacity in a stepped format making them variable
load process cooling applications.
OPTIONAL REMOTE MONITORING
guarantees trouble free operation along with the
added advantage of leaving maintenance issues
to the experts themselves. Our control centre
would be routinely receiving real time information
from the microprocessor regarding the chiller
health and this information will be used to perform
preventive maintenance, if required. The magnum
controller provides PC connectivity and remote
monitoring with or without BMS through dedicated
telephone phone line and optional gateway and
modem. This option is only valid in range with
Magnum
controller.
OPTIONAL VFD combines the reliability
of a screw compressor with the energy savings
of a variable frequency drive (VFD). This simple,
reliable combination achieves ultra-high efficiency
levels while lowering the cost of ownership. The
Schneider ATV range of VFD’s are perfectly
adaptable with the Flamingo Aircon family of chillers
with Magnum controller.
OPTIONAL HEAT PUMP increases
the versatility of the AirCon Family chillers
as it can double up as a Heat Pump just by sliding
the reversing valve direction, eliminating the
need to install boilers for central heating applications
during winter seasons.
OPTIONAL HOT WATER PORT provides
hot water for various utilities with in commercial
establishments without any increase in the chiller
power consumption. This option utilizes the waste
discharge heat from the compressor to provide
hot water at temperatures up to 60 degree Celsius
that can be used for various utilities within
a commercial building and eliminates the need
to install boilers for heating water applications.
OPTIONAL DIRECT EXPANSION design
can also be availed for direct coupling
to indvidual or multiple air handling units (AHUs).
